It can be used internally and externally, and every applicator is single-use. On its UK website, BTL states the EMFEMME applicator is intended to improve vaginal laxity after vaginal childbirth. Treatment is for women only, and every course starts with a private consultation.

The applicator
A slim, sealed, single-use applicator is moved slowly and gently inside the vaginal canal, for around 8 minutes.

Over the following weeks

Who EMFEMME 360® is for
EMFEMME 360® is for women who would like to support their intimate wellbeing, including after childbirth and around menopause. BTL states it is intended to improve vaginal laxity after vaginal childbirth. It is not a treatment for menopause symptoms such as vaginal dryness, and your GP is the right place to discuss those. It is not offered during pregnancy, within three months of having a baby or while breastfeeding.
What to Expect
Preparation
Your first visit includes a private consultation to check EMFEMME 360® is right for you. It is not offered during pregnancy, within three months of having a baby, while breastfeeding or during your period, and it is not suitable with metal or electronic implants, a sexually transmitted infection or pelvic organ prolapse.
Your Treatment
Treatment takes place in a private room. The internal treatment takes around 8 minutes and external treatment around 12 to 20 minutes, so allow about 40 minutes for your appointment. You should feel a gentle warmth, never burning or pain, so tell your practitioner straight away if it feels too hot.
Aftercare
There is no recovery time. You may notice mild redness or swelling, which usually settles within a few hours. Some women notice a change after one session, with results developing over the following weeks. Results vary from person to person.
