Mr Darryl Coombes
Mr Coombes is a consultant surgeon who works solely on the face, head and neck, and he carries out every surgical procedure offered by The Beauty Aesthetics Group. He qualified in both dentistry and medicine at King's College London, trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery at major NHS centres including Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, and spent ten years as a consultant there before dedicating his time to private practice, with a particular interest in aesthetic facial surgery.
He developed the Apex Facelift®, still carries out facial skin cancer surgery for the NHS in Sussex and Kent, and lectures and trains other surgeons in rhinoplasty and head and neck skin cancer.
You will meet him at your private consultation, where he will examine you, listen to what you would like to change and explain honestly what surgery can and cannot achieve. In surgery, he is assisted by Tanisha, a student nurse and founder of the Group.

Apex Facelift®
A facelift developed by Mr Coombes, performed under local anaesthetic and designed to reduce sagging in the lower face and neck for a natural, rejuvenated look. It usually takes 90 to 120 minutes and can be combined with upper eyelid surgery.

Removes excess skin from the upper eyelids for a fresher, more open look. Usually carried out under local anaesthetic.

A small amount of excess skin is removed from just beneath the lower lashes to smooth the lower eyelid.

There is never any pressure to book on the day. Take time to think it over, and come back to us with any questions before a date is set.

Carried out by Mr Coombes at Eastergate Medical Aesthetics, assisted by Tanisha, with guidance on how to prepare beforehand.
Aftercare
Your aftercare is explained at your consultation, and post-operative lymphatic massage is available at our Chichester and Petersfield clinics to help ease swelling.

How much does it cost?
Consultations are £250. Prices marked “from” are starting prices and may vary according to your individual surgical requirements. Your exact price is confirmed after your consultation.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. Every procedure is planned after a full consultation and clinical assessment with Mr Coombes.
What happens after surgery?
Your aftercare, including any follow-up appointments, is explained at your consultation, and you can book post-operative lymphatic massage at our Chichester and Petersfield clinics to help with swelling.
Could a non-surgical treatment work instead?
Sometimes. Some concerns can be improved with non-surgical treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, fillers or skin tightening, and you are welcome to ask about these at your consultation.
